Warm up slowly, take one timed passage, review repeated errors and practise those patterns. Keep conditions similar between sessions so the comparison is meaningful.

Short rounds are useful when you give each one a purpose. Make progress personal rather than comparing an isolated score with someone else’s session.
Warm up before the clock
Type a familiar sentence at an easy pace. Notice your posture, keyboard position and repeated pauses. A comfortable start gives you a clearer picture of your technique during the timed round.
Play one focused round
Open the free 60-second test, read the passage and follow the source. The timer begins when you start the test. Keep spacing and punctuation deliberate and avoid restarting only to hide a difficult pattern.
Review, then reset
Check speed and accuracy together. Choose one pattern to practise slowly. Reset for another round when ready. A session is a useful measurement, not a permanent label for your ability.
Keep the routine manageable
Leave time between rounds and stop if your hands are uncomfortable. Consistency gives you more useful comparisons than a long sequence of rushed attempts. Read the assessment rules separately before considering certification.
